3 CHANGES To Help You Take Your Tax Business To The Next Level

Make these changes to your tax business marketing strategy

If you want to take your tax business to the next level, some things must change – that’s a fact.  Well, because change is mandatory for growing your tax practice, I recommend the following three strategies – true game-changers – for breaking out of the pack and beating your competition.

CHANGE #1

WHERE YOU SELL

You can change the media you advertise in.  Think of media as the platform for your marketing message.  Just make a list where you advertise now.  Where have you advertised in the past?  What worked and what didn’t work so well?  Do you even know for sure?  (Hint:  When you use Direct Response Marketing, you are much more likely to be able to quantify the results.)

If your tax business advertising results have not been stellar in the past, I wouldn’t recommend blaming it on the media you used.  In my experience, the media usually isn’t the problem.  In most cases, when a tax business promotion loses money or doesn’t work like you hoped, it’s usually a TARGET MARKET or MESSAGE problem.

But let’s say you do have an ad that’s working for you.  The promotion is bringing you an acceptable ROI, so what do you do next?

You might be surprised, but by just taking that same ad which is already working for you and running the promotion in other media, you can double or triple your results.  In many cases, you barely have to change your ad.  All you have done is leverage your marketing message and added it to a few more platforms (MEDIA).  The right media gets the attention of your target market and when run in tandem with other promotions, momentum occurs.  This multi-media effect actually provides an extra boost to all of your campaigns when compared to just running a stand-alone promotion.

CHANGE #2

WHO IS SELLING

Another way to boost your tax business promotional results is to change WHO is doing the selling.

You can change who in your office is allowed to speak with prospects and who is best to speak with existing clients.  In our tax business, only a few key people were selected to speak with a prospect over the phone or if they walked in our office. (We treated an opportunity to

gain a new client like gold.)  Having a high-priority mentality inside the office, that selling an appointment or getting someone new to come in and give us a try, was critically important to our success.

This mentality is important for an OUTSIDE sales team, too.

Did you realize your existing tax clients are THE best sales team you have for spreading the “good news” about your tax business?  Go out of your way to treat them like your secret agent sales force.  Be purposeful about gathering your top ten or twelve “best referring” clients.  They love talking about you and your tax business anyway.

Pick a date and invite your “champion” clients to come together with you at the same time.  Feed them and give away a few nice gifts, showing appreciation for being some of your “Top Referring” Clients.  Look them in the eyes and tell them what a difference they make in your life!  Then give them permission to take your Refer-A-Friend Program and run with it to the next level.  Offer additional “sales material” for these word-of-mouth experts to pass along to their co-workers, neighbors and family members.

Obviously, if you can incentivize them even further, do so as you see fit.  If your state’s law or your professional license would not approve, no problem, just tell them you love them with hand-written thank you notes.  (Many times hand-written thank you notes work better than money!)

CHANGE #3

WHO YOU SELL TO

First, let me be clear.  Savvy tax pros always look to sell to other quality clients similar to the ones already in their client database. They find small segments of clients grouped together in their list who have proved to be excellent people to work with. OBVIOUSLY, YOUR FIRST PRIORITY IS TO SELL TO THESE KINDS OF FOLKS FIRST.

Then, I want you to block off some time to brainstorm with a couple of friends or family members and begin to remind yourself about your existing relationship capital.  You might not realize it, but you have RELATIONSHIP ASSETS buried in your tax business, too.  These relationships are with people who can bring great value to your tax practice.  Like lost treasure, if you knew where the gold was buried, wouldn’t you try and dig it up?

Note:  Please don’t over-complicate what I’m about to say.  (The reason I’m bringing up this simple strategy is, historically, tax pros are terrible at basic networking.)  You can make a list of all the people you know in your city today.  They don’t have to be hugely influential.  But it helps if they have a group of folks in their personal circle of influence to be able to spread the word about your tax business.

What makes networking work well is having a great HOOK.  This is an attention-getting reason why taxpayers should seriously consider you verse all the other tax filing options available to them.  Sound familiar?  You can compile a separate Unique Selling Proposition for your tax business just for networking purposes.

Those who are approaching the world of finance for the first time run the risk of feeling overwhelmed just by hearing about
trading and Forex. To avoid this kind of problem, it is considered appropriate to create a solid foundation for all readers by briefly defining what is
    meant by these two terms.

After that, he will continue to focus on investment capital and give some vital advice if you want to make the most of your Forex experience and minimize the
    possibility of unforeseen situations.

Trading refers to the purchase and sale of assets such as currencies,
basic goods, shares and cryptocurrencies with the aim of generating capital gains and, therefore, obtaining an economic benefit.

Once carried out only in physical spaces, this operation is increasingly carried
out on platforms that, acting as brokers or intermediaries, simplify the
user experience. The Forex (FX) derives its name from the English expression Foreign Exchange – to
the letter foreign exchange. Specifically, it is a market in which international
currencies are bought and sold and that each day has a volume of
operations that reaches 6.6 trillion dollars.

Investment capital indicates the part of resources that it is decided to allocate to trading.
It should be noted that these are just one of the many ways to generate wealth that an investor can choose from and that can be both in the form of money and other assets.

Using this capital the right way from the start can make a big
difference to the bottom line of your operations.

In this sense, if some of the experts advise assigning it to a wide range of assets to minimize the chances of
loss and maximize profits, others believe that especially for beginners it would be appropriate to focus exclusively on Forex. Due to its intrinsic characteristics, the foreign exchange market is capable of offering unique advantages to the traders who opt for it.
Among its main benefits is the fact that it is operational in each country,
is available 24/24, guarantees quite low transaction costs and requires a lower initial
investment compared to most other assets.

In particular, most online Forex brokers require their new
users to deposit a minimum amount of money in order to start trading.
On average, this varies from between 10 and 100 dollars.

Despite this, according to statistics, 43% of people start trading with a capital of less than $500.
23% of users start with an investment of between $500 and $1,000,
while the remaining fraction opts for a sum of
between $1,000 and $10,000 depending on their financial availability, level of experience,
and goals. In some cases, the possibility of opening a demo account is also offered, which allows you to try different platforms and acclimatize to the world of currency trading for free.
This option is ideal for even the most experienced who want to evaluate the use of
new strategies and automated solutions without incurring expenses.
